(BROWNSTOWN) – A convention to narrow down the field of candidates for town council seats in Brownstown.
From 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 19, registered Republican voters in Brownstown can attend a town convention at the Jackson County Courthouse on South Main Street.
On the ballot for Ward 1 are Terry Fordice and Gregory Goshorn. On the ballot for Ward 5 are Colby Carter and Timothy Robinson.
The top candidate from each ward will move on to the general election.
The winner of the Ward 1 race will face Democrat Pamela Fleetwood. The Ward 5 winner will be unopposed.
Republican residents living within the town limits are eligible to vote.
