(OOLITIC) – The postal service has notified the Oolitic Clerk-Treasurer’s Office that the water bills have been located and customers can expect to start receiving them on Saturday.
Earlier – Oolitic residents are wondering what happened to their water bills.
According to Oolitic Clerk-Treasurer Jessica Staggs, the water bills were mailed out on Thursday, August 1, 2019.
The Oolitic Post Office has confirmed that those bills were sent to Indianapolis for processing that same day. Post office officials are currently investigating why customers have not received their bills.
“USPS is working to locate the bills within their processing warehouse,” Staggs says. “We still have hopes that if they are located, residents may still receive their bills by Friday. In the meantime, please feel free to stop in and have your bill looked up to pay or you may also call Town Hall (812-275-6813) to find out what you owe. We appreciate your patience.”
