(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Police are looking for the man who walked into the Royal South Toyota parking lot early Monday morning and stole a tailgate from a pickup truck.
According to Bloomington Police, security footage shows a man wearing a mask entering the parking lot in the 3110 block of South Walnut Street around 4 a.m. The man approached a green Toyota Tacoma and removed the truck’s tailgate. He then walked back across the street and put the tailgate into a vehicle. Due to the poor quality of the video police were unable to identify that vehicle.
An employee at Royal South Toyota reported the theft around 11:30 a.m. The tailgate is valued at around $4,000.
