(CAMPBELLSBURG) – The Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident Thursday at 5:51 a.m. near the intersection of State Road 60 West and Hickory Street in Campbellsburg.
The driver was a 12-year-old juvenile male from Bedford.
According to police the vehicle was traveling eastbound and went left of center into the opposite lane. The driver overcorrected and ran into the ditch where the vehicle overturned multiple times.
Parents of the juvenile transported him to the hospital in Bedford to be treated for minor injuries.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Washington County EMS, Campbellsburg-Brown Township Fire Department, and Howells wrecker service.
