Bloomington Police Investigating Hit and Run Accident

(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that left a 33-year-old male injured.

Bloomington Police officers were called to Acadia Court apartment complex on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. after a report a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle and the vehicle fled the scene.

According to Bloomington Police Capt. Ryan Pedigo, the male had driven a friend’s car to the apartment complex to visit friends. He had just exited the car when he saw a different car heading southbound towards him in the parking lot.

The car struck him and pinned him to the car he borrowed as he was exiting it. He then fell onto the ground. The male then witnessed a person flee from the passenger seat and believed that person was his ex-girlfriend. The car then fled the scene.

Police say the man suffered injuries to his leg that may require surgery.
