(INDIANAPOLIS) – State Health Commissioner Kris Box, MD, FACOG, and Family and Social Services Secretary Jenifer Wathall, MD, MPH, will unveil a new state approach to reducing smoking in Indiana on Monday, July 15th.
Tobacco use is the single most preventable cause of death and disease in Indiana and contributes to maternal and infant mortality, yet nearly 22 percent of Indiana adults smoke, including more than 13 percent of pregnant women.
