Man Rescued From Water at France Park

(LOGANSPORT) – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a water recovery incident that occurred at France Park Thursday evening. At approximately 5:15 p.m., first responders were called to the area of France Park for a man that had been pulled from the water.

Witnesses stated that they saw the male run into the water from the beach, swim a short distance and then disappear under water.

Multiple bystanders entered the water in search of the man and were able to locate him and pull him to shore. Once on land, bystanders performed CPR until EMS arrived.

The male was transported by ambulance to Logansport Memorial Hospital where he was then flown to Park View Regional Hospital by Samaritan helicopter where he is listed in critical condition.

The incident is currently under investigation and updates will be provided as more information is gathered.
