Roy R. Beavers, 61, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Born March 26, 1958, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Merle Edmond and Gladys (Evans) Beavers. Roy loved hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He worked several years at Superior Salvage Yard and was a carpet installer.
Surviving are his daughters, Shawna (Kyle) Albertson, of Medora, and Nyoka Albertson, of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brice, Brandon, Rowdy, Nakya, Nasyah, and Nazaryaha; six sisters, Priscilla (Dallas) Davidson, of Medora, Iva White, of Bedford, Clara (Russ) Hiatt, of Indianapolis, Sharon Pierce, of Orleans, Patricia (Roger) Brown, of Bedford, and Mary Oliver, of Jamestown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Grace Sullivan, and Carolyn Prince; two brothers, Clarence Beavers and Virgil Beavers; Brothers-in-law, Jim Prince, Ronnie Pierce, Ronnie Sullivan, and Roger White.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
