White River State Park And RadioNOW Announce New Event Series

(INDIANAPOLIS) – White River State Park (WRSP) in partnership with RadioNOW introduces a new happy hour event series geared toward people and pups. Yappy Hour begins Thurs. May 30.


Yappy Hour is a monthly evening of fun at WRSP. Located on the State Museum lawn in front of the IMAX, attendees at this pet-friendly event will enjoy live music, yard games, as well as food and drinks provided by Central State Brewing and Pinnacle Catering. Entertainment will be provided by Indy’s #1 Pop Station RadioNOW, including its nationally syndicated morning show hosts, Joe and Alex.
Exciting activities for the dogs will be also be provided, including free doggy dental checks, nail trims, doggy tattoos, treats and more. Camp Bow Wow will provide onsite obedience training, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Indy Humane Society and its pet adoption process. Movie lovers can also purchase discounted tickets to SuperPower Dogs – a documentary highlighting real-life superhero dogs currently showing at the IMAX Theater in White River State Park.
“We are thrilled to partner with RadioNOW to introduce this fun-filled summer event series,” said Carolene Mays-Medley, executive director of the White River State Park Development Commission. “Everyone is welcome – with or without a canine companion. Having an opportunity to share and enjoy this space is what White River State Park is all about.”

What: Yappy Hour, a happy hour event with a canine twist. This is a free event. All dogs are to remain leashed while visiting the park.
When: The fourth Thurs. of each month (May 30, Jun. 27, Jul. 25, Aug. 22, and Sep. 26) from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
