DOR’s Annual Public Hearing Set For June 18th

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) is holding its annual public hearing on June 18, 2019, at the Indiana Government Center South Building, Conference Room C from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. (EST) in Indianapolis.

The annual public hearing provides customers and stakeholders the opportunity to hear DOR’s latest initiatives and provides the public an opportunity to give feedback and share their ideas on how the agency can improve policies, processes, and procedures.
“Our public hearing serves as a great opportunity for Hoosiers to hear how we are challenging ourselves to deliver great government service, and it gives our customers a chance to provide invaluable feedback directly to DOR’s leadership team in an open forum,” stated DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp. “We enjoy interacting with customers to update them on various improvements made within DOR over the last year, some of which are a result of last year’s feedback from attendees.”
Individuals interested in the hearing who are unable to attend have the opportunity to watch on DOR’s Facebook page where it will be streaming live. The public may also submit feedback via email correspondence if they cannot attend the hearing. Emails sent to media@dor.in.gov with the subject line “Annual Public Hearing” that are received by June 17, will be read aloud during the hearing.
“Last year’s public hearing inspired many improvements, including changes to the offer in compromise process,” added Commissioner Krupp. “By bringing this issue to light, our team worked to align this program more closely with IRS procedures, making it more consistent and thereby less burdensome for Hoosiers to navigate.”
