Bedford Man And Two Female Juveniles Arrested After Fight

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man and two female juveniles were arrested after a fight at the skate park at Thornton Park.


According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers arrived and were told the juveniles involved fled running west of the park.
Officers located one of the female juveniles at the Teen Center. She told police she had gotten into a fight with another female youth after the parents of that female arrived and provoked the fight.
Officers located the other juvenile female and her parents involved in the fight.
“The parents and the female juvenile gave officer their version of the incident,” Chief Moore added.
Officers arrested 49-year-old Barry Staggs on charges of disorderly conduct, neglect of a dependent, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and hazing resulting in bodily injury.
Police also issued summons to appear in court to both of the female juveniles involved.
One 14-year-old juvenile is facing charges of intimidation, disorderly conduct, and hazing resulting in bodily injury. The other 12-year-old female is facing a charge of battery resulting in bodily injury. Both girls were released to their parents after they signed a promise to appear form.
