Paul L. Stevens – Bedford

Paul L. Stevens, 85, of Bedford, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born January 2, 1934, in Bedford, he was the son of William E. (Bob) and Susie A. (Weyer) Stevens. He married Suella Root on January 30, 1953, and she survives. He retired from Sears in Bloomington after thirty-six years and was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church and Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F &AM.
Surviving with his wife, Suella are three daughters, Linnea Skeen and husband, Jack, Dana Osborn, and husband,
Scott, and Karen Deckard and husband, Kenneth, Jr. all of Bedford; four grandsons, Keith Deckard and wife, Kimber,
Kevin Deckard, Justin Osborn, and Jacob Osborn; great-grandchildren, Londyn, and Harper Deckard; a sister, Violet
Cummings, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ralph and James Stevens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from
4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 17th and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, May 18th at the Day
& Carter Mortuary. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m.on Friday, May 17th.
