Incidents – May 12

  • 7:22 a.m. 911 call in the 1920 block of 28th Street. Bedford police was alerted
  • 8:28 a.m. Request for animal control on Vinegar Hill for about 30 cattle walking in the roadway. Police were unable to locate the cattle. The cattle were found in the 1980 block of Vinegar Hill Road in a yard. The owner was located
  • 8:40 a.m. A person was on station abouta protective order
  • 9:25 a.m. Request for animal control to Pete Pritchett Lane and Fayetteville Road for a large horse out. The owner was alerted
  • 10:17 a.m. Traffic stop at 16th Street and near the medical center. A citation was issued for expired license plates
  • 10:19 a.m. Transport detail to IU Bloomington Hospital
  • 10:39 a.m. Follow up investigation 1230 block of 13th Street. Armed with a search warrant a moped was seized
  • 10:49 a.m. Medical emergency in the 2650 block of Maul Ridge Road. A man was unconscious and slumped over the steering wheel
  • 11:02 a.m. 911 call in the 1870 block of Avoca Eureka Road. It was an accidental call
  • 11:07 a.m. Controlled fire in the 1210 block of Cobb Lane
  • 11:16 a.m. Utility lines were down along the roadway in the 1440 block of Star Lane
  • 12:01 p.m. A resident was on station to report fraud
  • 12:15 p.m. Medical emergency in the 30 block of Lakeside Estates. A person suffered a possible stroke
  • 12:17 p.m. A resident in the 1620 block of State Road 54. A male has taken the caller’s phone and destroyed it and is threatened her. The male was passed out in his vehicle. The male was detained by Monroe County police after they found drug paraphernalia in his vehicle
  • 12:44 p.m. 911 call in the 10600 block of Williams Road. It was an accidental call
  • 2:22 p.m. Request for animal control to the 5130 block of Old Farm Road. The neighbor’s dogs are digging in his flower bed
  • 2:35 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 58/54. A citation was issued for expired license plates
  • 2:41 p.m. Traffic stop at North 8th and West Brook streets. The driver was cited for expired license plates
  • 2:50 p.m. Traffic stop at 14th Street and Deckard Drive
  • 3:11 p.m. 911 call hangup. It was an accidental call
  • 4:09 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 54 at Kenwood Addition
  • 4:18 p.m. Domestic fight in the 80 block of Gun Club Road. A male had made threats to kill the female caller if he gets arrested
  • 5:47 p.m. Medical emergency in the 700 block of Crawford Street. A male was having kidney pain
  • 4:55 p.m. A realtor in the 1880 block of South Leatherwood Road reported she was threatened by a male and being harassed. The male then called reporting two vehicles were blocking his driveway
  • 5 p.m. Countywide Volunteer Fire Department radio test
  • 5:07 p.m. Report of a suicidal person in the 210 block of Green Hill Addition Road. A female had taken all of her insulin pens and left in a 2008 Nissan Altima saying she was going to kill herself. The caller received a call from the woman saying she was going to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for a medical evaluation. Police found her at that hospital
  • 5:32 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 700 block of J Street.
  • 6:21 p.m. 911 call reporting an erratic driver in a red car slamming on their brakes in front of the caller on State Road. Monroe County Police was alerted
  • 6:30 p.m. 911 call in the 520 block of Todd Mitchell Road. Bedford Police was alerted
  • 6:30 p.m. Report of a juvenile problem at North Meridian Road and Grissom Avenue. Small boys were playing baseball in the roadway. Police could not find anyone playing in the roadway
  • 6:50 p.m. Traffic stop at Hancock Avenue and North 7th Street
  • 6:54 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2320 block of Tunnelton Road
  • 7:15 p.m. Traffic stop at South 8th and West Frank streets
  • 7:44 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a silver vehicle westbound on US 50 East east of Ferrel Gas
  • 7:50 p.m. Traffic stop in the 400 block of Leatherwood Road
  • 8:22 p.m. Traffic stop at Carter Avenue and West Hancock Avenue
  • 8:24 p.m. Traffic stop at Doc Hamilton Boulevard and Rabbitsville Road

  • 2:46 a.m. Deputies were out with a person on State Road 37 north of Speedway. The male was given a ride to the Martin County line to be transported to Daviess County
  • 4:24 a.m. Medical emergency in the 2150 block of Sieboldt Quarry Road. A person was suffering stomach pain
  • 4:55 a.m. Report of a white older model Chevrolet Impala tailgating vehicle in the construction zone on State Road
