Bedford Man Arrested after Picking Woman Up by Hair

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested after he came home from work drunk and attacked a female.

Bedford Police officers were called to the 300 block of North Shawnee Drive just after 1 a.m. this morning after a report of a battery.
When officers arrived, they were met outside by the female victim.

“She told police 26-year-old Tyler Inman returned from work intoxicated”, says Chief Terry Moore. “After a verbal argument he picked her up by her hair and threatened her, and she wanted to file charges.”
Officers went to the house and asked Inman to come outside to talk and when he refused, they entered the home.
“While speaking with Mr. Inman he denied the incident happened and when officers approached him he charged at them after breaking free from the officers,” Chief Terry says. “Mr. Inman ran out of the house refusing to stop. Officers chased after him until he finally fell. He then refused to cooperate and resisted until several officers could gain control and place him in handcuffs.”
Inman during questioning continued to deny harming the female.
He was arrested on a charge of domestic battery and resisting arrest.
