(FAYETTEVILLE) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on State Road 158 West Saturday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department police report, 49-year-old Julia Jones, of Bedford, was traveling west on State Road 158 in a 2005 Honda Civic.
At the same time 46-year-old Charity Avera, of Missouri City in a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling east on State Road 158.
Police say Jones applied the brakes and lost control of her car due to road surface conditions. Jones’ car struck the rear of a 2009 Jeep, driven by 72-year-old Larry Bridges, of Bedford, who was traveling in front of her.
The impact caused Bridges’ Jeep to cross the center line and collide into the driver’s side door Avera’s Blazer.
Jones suffered an abrasion to her head. Bridges complained of chest pain. Both refused medical treatment. Avera was not injured.
