Petty Thieves on August 24, 2018 — with Tyler Wilson, Jay Wilson, Lucas Allen, Matt Jackson and Brandon Pfeiffer at Harp Commons.
The 2019 Summer Stage Series kicks off May 3 with Petty Thieves at the J Street venue. Petty Thieves is a Tom Petty tribute band.
Concerts will take place the first Friday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. Seating is on the lawn in front of the stage.
The concerts were the idea of Dave Pruet, owner of OnStage Productions. He approached Bedford Revitalization Inc. who liked the idea and saw it as a way of bringing people to downtown.
This year bands will get paid to perform. Donations and business sponsorships will be accepted to cover expenses.
To become a sponsor or donate to support the series, contact Pruet at 812-901-1200.
