Mitchell Man Arrested on Battery Charges

(BEDFORD) – A Mitchell man was arrested after a woman came to the Bedford Police Department to report a battery.

According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, the victim told police she was cooking for a family member of Cory Kern when he got upset and spit in her face. Kern then allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck and pinned her against the wall.
The incident happened at a home in the 300 block of Windsor Court.

Chief Moore says, Kern refused to cooperate with officers when asked and had to be forcibly removed and handcuffed.
