Elizabeth “Betty” Cameron – Bedford
February 27, 1933 – April 5, 2019
Elizabeth “Betty” Cameron, 86, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Garden Villa, Bedford.
Born February 27, 1933, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Swigler) Shaff.
She married Dick Cameron on July 25, 1953, and he survives. Betty was a graduate of Tunnelton High School. She was a member of the Fairview Community Church. She retired from St. Vincent de Paul School after 27 years where she worked as a Teacher’s Aide.
Surviving includes her husband, Dick, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Josh Cameron, and Errin Cameron; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Mattox; sisters-in-law, Judy Shaff, and Janice Shaff; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Greg Cameron, and Rick Cameron Jr., one brother, Robert Shaff Jr.; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Mattox; and her step-mother Grace Elizabeth who raised her and her siblings as her own.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour Monday at the funeral chapel.

Pauline V. Baker – Bedford

Pauline V. Baker, 89, of Bedford, died at 2:46 pm on Friday, April 5, 2019, at White River Lodge.
Born April 29, 1929, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Henry and Mary (Bellottti) Delpha. Pauline worked for 3D, and later retired as a sales clerk at Big Lots. She had previously attended Mount Pleasant Christian Church. She married Harold W. Baker on November 6, 1948, and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2018.
Pauline is survived by four children, Linda (Stephen) Grider of Springville, Janet (Daniel) Walls and Tracy (Sherry) Baker, both of Bedford, Michelle (Scott) Land of Mitchell; grandchildren, Kevin (Chris Chapman) Walls, Stephen (Tina) Grider, Jr., James Grider, Danielle (Darin) Fish, Bradley (Kelly) Baker, Tim (Andrea) Baker, Aaron (Amy) Land, Amy (Adam) Smith-Kinser; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Delpha of Bargersville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eleven siblings, James, Harry, Louis, John, Robert, William, Mary Ellen, and Paul Delpha (her twin brother), Margie Christenberry, Mabel Lewis, and Ilene Wintergerst.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Norma Bartlett – Bedford

Norma Bartlett, 93, of Bedford, passed away at her home on Friday, April 5, 2019, with her family by her side.
Born June 17, 1925 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Shirley and Pearl (Kirk) Sharr. She married Teddy Bartlett on January 9, 1945, and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2004.
Norma worked at RCA during WW II in the Secret Room. She then took the role of homemaker, mother, grandmother, and partner on the family farm. She was especially proud of her baby chicks which she raised and sold eggs. Some years she would raise more than 300. Norma was an active member of the Bartlettsville Christian Church where she
taught Sunday School over forty years. She enjoyed singing and sang with various groups at church. Norma kept her memories in diaries since 1941, leaving her family with a rich history of not only family events but world happenings.
Norma is survived by a son, Jack Bartlett, and wife, Kay; two daughters, Donna Fish and husband, David, Betsy Robertson and husband, Jerry, all of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Wright, Lori (Jamie) Cummings, Amanda (Erik) Turner, Jaclyn (Brett) Thomas, Darin (Danielle) Fish, Kortni Fish, Jamie (Tevin) Norman, and Joni (Nathan) Combs; 17 great-grandchildren, Peyton Wright, Ryan Wright, Emily Wright, Morgan (Katie) Cummins, Lexie (Mark) Hudelson, McKaylin Turner, Eathan Turner, Evan Turner, Tobin Thomas, Jax Thomas, Caden Fish, Audri Fish, Maeve Uhlman, Taylor Norman, Karsyn Norman, Kalin Combs, and Ridley Combs; one sister, Ruby Cracraft, and husband, Willard, of Bedford; one brother, Bob Sharr, of Oolitic; a brother-in-law, Joe Bartlett, and wife, Marian, of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a great-grandson, Brady Wright; two brothers, Jim and Harold Sharr; two sisters, Bernice Ritter and Barbara Bartlett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8th at the Bartlettsville Christian Church with Pastors Tim Day, Larry Ritter and Taylor Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlettsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 7th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, April 8th at the Bartlettsville Christian Church.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Bartlettsville Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
