NFL Free Agency Opens, Colts Eying Deals

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – Wednesday marked the official opening of NFL free agency when agreed upon deals can be signed.


The Colts marked the occasion by bringing back cornerback Pierre Desir with a fresh three-year deal worth a reported $25 million that includes $12 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Multiple reports also have the Colts bringing in running back Jay Ajayi next week. Ajayi, the former Eagles back, is coming off a torn ACL and will undergo a physical.
Elsewhere, former Colts wide receivers got some new money as Donte Moncrief signed a two-year deal with the Steelers and Phillip Dorsett will remain with the Patriots on a one-year deal.
Meanwhile, another Colts target is officially off the board as wide receiver Tyrell Williams will join Antonio Brown and the Oakland Raiders on a four-year deal worth a reported $44 million.
Williams was mentioned as a possible free agent receiver option for Indianapolis to line up across T.Y. Hilton. Indianapolis signed former Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess.
