(JASPER) – Merkley and Sons Packing Company of Jasper, Ind. is voluntarily recalling Hickory Smoked Pork in BBQ Sauce because the product may contain soy allergen, which is not listed on the ingredient label. The recalled pork was sold at grocery stores in eight Indiana counties.
Hickory Smoked Pork in BBQ Sauce is sliced pork sold in 32-ounce and 64-ounce refrigerated packages with a yellow and red label bearing a “Merkley Quality Meats” logo.
The product was sold in Crawford, Dubois, Gibson, Harrison, Perry, Spencer, Warrick, and Vanderburgh counties. (Specific retail outlets are listed below.)
Merkley and Sons ask consumers to return or destroy the product. Consumers should also check their freezers for unused portions.
