Group Steals Jeep From Bloomington Teen

(BLOOMINGTON) – An 18-year-old from Bloomington was arrested after he allegedly stole a Jeep Commander at gunpoint on Friday afternoon after he attempted to purchase marijuana from a friend.

Bloomington Police arrested 18-year-old Paul Mark on charges of robbery. He is being held in the Monroe County Jail on a $15,500 bond.
Police responded to the 2300 block of South Windslow Court after a 17-year-old told police that Mark had taken him into a bedroom of the home where he told him a large group of individuals would “jump him” if he didn’t give them all his money. The boy didn’t have any money, so the group began hitting him.
The teen was able to escape but was then held at gunpoint outside his vehicle by an unknown male who was with Mark. The group then took his Jeep, which police said had cash and several electronic items inside.
Mark told police he met with the teen to sell him marijuana but denies knowing the other men who took the vehicle.
Police have not recovered the white Jeep.
