(DUGGER) – Major upgrades are coming to Redbird State Recreation Area in Greene and Sullivan Counties near Dugger.
Redbird became the DNR’s first property for off-road vehicle use nearly 15 years ago.
Construction begins March 4 and the property will close to the public on March 11th and remain closed until early summer.
Among the improvements are new trails, major trail repair and reroutes, and paved access from County Road 350 North to Whitetail Shelter.
During the shutdown, user groups are encouraged to volunteer at the property.
