(BLOOMINGTON) – A Lawrence County man was arrested on Wednesday after troopers from the Troopers from the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section along with Troopers Chris Griggs and Chance Humphrey located 47-year-old Kristian Korthouse in Bloomington.
Korthouse of Bedford was a target of a lengthy drug investigation in which DES personnel utilized confidential informants to purchase methamphetamine from him on numerous occasions in Lawrence County.
Drug Enforcement Personnel received information as to the whereabouts of Korthouse, and when Trooper Humphrey and Griggs attempted to arrest him for the active felony warrants, Korthouse attempted to flee on foot.
Korthouse was apprehended a short time later by Trooper Humphrey.
At the time of his arrest, Korthouse had more than 5 grams of meth.
Korthouse is incarcerated in the Monroe County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Lawrence County.
He is facing the following charges:
In Monroe County
- Dealing methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony)
- Possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony)
In Lawrence County
- Dealing Methamphetamine (Level 3 Felony)
- Dealing Methamphetamine (Level 4 Felony)
- Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 5 Felony)
- Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony)
