Taryn Kay Chastain – Bedford

Taryn Kay Chastain, 59, of Bedford, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019, with her family and Heavenly Father by her side.
Born September 3, 1959, in Bedford, she was the daughter of William C. “Bud” and Sondra Kay Tarr.
She married the love of her life and soul-mate, Jeffrey C. Chastain on May 31, 1980, and he survives.
Taryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a life-long Homemaker, and especially enjoyed cooking, decorating her home, and spending time with her husband, children, seven grandchildren, and family.
Surviving is her husband, Jeff Chastain; son, Matthew Chastain, and his children Emily and Dylan Chastain; son, Jason Chastain, wife Melanie, and children Lillie Chastain, and Logan and Garrett Blake; two sisters, Tracy Yeary and husband Kevin, and Amy Jo Tarr. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her mother, Sondra Kay Tarr.
She was preceded in death by her father, William C. “Bud” Tarr; and her son David Chastain. His children, Lucas, and Peyton Chastain, and their mother Amber survive.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Brother Mark Duncan officiating. Her final resting place will be in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Monday, February 25, 2019, and from noon until the service hour Tuesday at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
