Frank “Butch” Runyon, 76, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019, at his residence.
Born September 15, 1942, in Bloomington, IN, he was the son of Edward and Mary (Jackson) Runyon.
Butch was a retired brick mason. He was a member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33 and Oolitic VFW.
Surviving are his two daughters, Penny (William) Grubbs, of Bedford, and Sandra (Dennis) Hamm, of Bedford; six grandchildren, John, Michael, Ashley, William III (Nikki), Michael Shane (Angie), and Cassie; great-grandchildren, Colton, Jonathon, Caleb, Skylar, Payton, Lila, Levi, and Jamion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Runyon; one great-great-grandson, Michael Charles Maxwell; one brother, Richard Runyon; and one sister, Delores Ann Kribbs.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, with Bro. Robert Akers officiating. Burial will be in Gross Cemetery in Spencer. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday at the funeral chapel.

Robert Lemmons Jr., 61, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in Bloomington, Indiana.
Born September 12, 1957, in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of Robert and Alma (Oliver) Lemmons.
He married Connie Lemmons on March 4, 1998.
Robert was an electrician and retired truck driver. He attended Oolitic High School. Robert was a member of the Moose Lodge, a member of the Eagles and a member of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmen’s Club.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Lemmons; step-daughter, Melissa Hildum; four sisters , Mary Watson, Bobbie Lemmons, Gloria Mundy-Phelix, Hazel Johnson; Nieces and Nephews, Amy Mitchell, Robert Lemmons, Sr., Jerry Lee Johnson, Raymond “Ray” Johnson, Katie Chapman, Joe Thomas, David Thomas; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.

Robert Moore Kindred – Bedford

Robert Moore Kindred, 90, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at IU Health Hospice House, Bloomington.
Born February 12, 1929, in Lawrence County, Indiana, he was the son of Bart and Gladys (Moore) Kindred.
He married Shirley Browning on August 14, 1953, and she preceded him in death in April 2017.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a mechanic at Bear Alignment before going full time in the Indiana National Guard, where he retired after more than 20 years of service.
He was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1947 and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Devry Institute. Robert was a member of Restoration Church of the Nazarene and the Good Sam’s Camping Club.
He enjoyed IU basketball, cars, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his son, Mark Kindred, of Bedford; daughter, Melinda (Brad) Scott, of Bedford; grandchildren, Aaron (Rachel) Kindred, of Seymour, Shelby (Chris) Easterday, of Bedford, and Sydney Henderson, of Bedford; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Jaylah, Oliver, Nel, Eli, and Treyton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; son, Mike Kindred; brother, Richard Kindred; and two sisters, Georgia Kindred Lantz and Mina Kindred Seidle.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes with Pastor Ken Bushey officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the service hour Friday at the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, in honor of Robert Moore Kindred.

Agatha G. (McPherson) Merry, 91, of Mitchell, our beloved mother, passed away at 4:32 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Mitchell Manor Nursing Center.
Born May 9, 1927, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Henry and Ida (Burton) McPherson. Claude Rayhill was the father of her children.
Agatha was a homemaker and a member of Woodville Baptist Church. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1946. Agatha was a member of Mitchell Senior Citizens and loved to dance. She loved life and her family, and always had a smile.
Survivors include her children, Terry Rayhill of Mitchell, Jerry Rayhill of Mitchell, Claude (Jolene) Rayhill, Jr., of Mitchell, Jennifer Carter, Elkton, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jarrett Rayhill, Stephanie Brashear, Davin Rayhill, Melanie, Carter, and Alison Boruff; step-grandchildren, Austin Caudell and Alison Kern; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren
Her parents; siblings, Emmett McPherson, Leland McPherson, Burton McPherson, Lorena Eversole, Rowana Thompson, Faye Chastain, and Kathryn Parks, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 23, at Woodville Baptist Church with Reverend Glenn Hamer and Brother Jim Russell officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center and from 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the church.
