(SHOALS) – Martin County deputies arrested a man after he fired shots at an officer in Shoals during an incident in the early morning hours Saturday.
Deputies arrested 30-year-old James Robert Maple III on a charge of attempted murder.
Maple III fled on foot firing multiple rounds at Corporal Tyler Reed in the vicinity of 9345 Mill Road.
Officers later caught up with maple and took him into custody.
