Three Injured In Accident On 16th Street

(BEDFORD) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 16th and D streets on Saturday afternoon.


According to a Bedford Police report, 35-year-old Joshua Woods of Bedford was traveling east in a 2004 Jeep Liberty on 16th Street approaching the intersection of D Street.
At the same time, 24-year-old Jalen Nierman of Brownstown was stopped to pull out of a gas station at 401 16th Street.
Police say Nierman pulled the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup into the path of Woods’ vehicle while trying to pull onto D Street.
Woods told police he could not avoid the collision.
Nierman complained of back pain and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Woods complained of hip and upper leg pain. His passenger 26-year-old Wanda Mills of Mitchell complained of head pain. Both refused treatment at the scene.
Woods was cited for driving while his driver’s license was suspended with a prior conviction.
