(JASPER) – Kimball Electronics Inc. (KE) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $7.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Jasper, Indiana-based company said it had a profit of 27 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were 26 cents per share.
The electronics manufacturing services company posted revenue of $284.1 million in the period.
Kimball Electronics shares have climbed almost 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $16.67, a fall of roughly 6 percent in the last 12 months.
