Postal Service To Host Job Fair In Bloomington

(BLOOMINGTON) – The U.S. Postal Service is organizing a Job Fair at Ivy Tech in Bloomington on Friday, Feb. 1 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 2 from 8 a.m. until Noon.


USPS employees will be on hand with information on completing applications, and also will show videos that describe the variety of jobs in the Postal Service.
Attendees must be over 17 years of age.
The Postal Service, on an ongoing basis, has vacancies for city carrier assistants with a starting pay of $16.78 per hour, rural carrier and assistance rural carriers with a starting pay of $17.78 per hour.
Each of these jobs requires two years’ driving experience and a good driving record.
These are all non-career positions that offer limited health benefits but usually lead to regular full-time employment with the Postal Service.
Applicants for all USPS positions must be a United States Citizen, a lawful permanent resident alien, a citizen of American Samoa or any other territory owing allegiance to the United States.
