Oladipo Out For Season, Will Undergo Surgery

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Pacers will officially be without All-Star Victor Oladipo the remainder of the season as an MRI revealed a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee.

The Pacers announced Oladipo will undergo surgery in the near future.
“It’s unfortunate,” head coach Nate McMillan said. “He’s a special player and a special person. It will be tough, but we have to continue to move on.”
Oladipo missed 11 games earlier this season due to soreness in the same knee but McMillan wasn’t sure if that played any factor.
“I haven’t talked to the trainers about it, but he wasn’t complaining about it before last night.”
The Pacers still own the third-best record in the Eastern Conference and Darren Collison said while Oladipo’s loss is huge, they aren’t done.
“The season’s not over. They don’t know our mindset in that locker room. They don’t know what we have.”
The Pacers will get their first taste of life without Oladipo on Saturday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies.
