County-Wide Town Hall To Support Grant Funding Opportunities

(BEDFORD) – The Lawrence County Economic Growth Council (LCEGC) will host a town hall to unveil the content of the county’s new strategic plan. Insights provided by community members coupled with existing data and previous planning efforts are the foundation of the new Quality of Place and Workforce Attraction strategic plan.

All residents are invited to weigh in on the findings because this plan will guide the implementation grant proposals for the Regional Opportunities Initiative (ROI) Ready Communities program and beyond.
“We are excited to see the results compiled and learn how we can improve workforce development and attraction, attributes and amenities, and quality of place initiatives in Lawrence County,” Shance Sizemore, LCEGC Executive Director, said. “We will ask the community to comment on the findings, and make sure we are heading in the right
direction. It’s important to have large, diverse representation from our community to garner the best results.”
The Town Hall is Thursday, January 24 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Stonegate North, 405 I Street in Bedford. All residents are also to participate in a quick online survey to prioritize projects.
