Girl Dies After Truck Strikes House

(LIBERTY) – Eastern Indiana police say an 11-year-old girl died over the weekend when the pickup truck she was riding in struck a house.

Union County Sheriff Dale Dishmond says the girl was pronounced dead at the scene following Saturday’s crash near the county seat of Liberty. Her name was not released.
The (Richmond) Palladium-Item reports that a 3-year-old boy who was also a passenger was treated at a local hospital.
Police say the Brookville man who was driving the pickup truck lost control of the vehicle before it traveled over an embankment and crashed into a house about 65 miles east of Indianapolis.
The man was ejected from the vehicle and went through a bedroom window of the house. He was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
