(MITCHELL) – The 73rd annual Persimmon Festival committee has announced the theme for 2019 – Mitchell, Around the World!
The theme hopes to honor and spotlight Mitchell community members who have brought a little taste of “Mitchell’s Hoosier Hospitality” all across the globe, as well as those who have traveled from all corners of the planet to make Mitchell their hometown, says General chairman Andy Mullen.
The 2019 festival will kick off on September 21, with the Tri Kappa Candlelight Tour at Spring Mill State Park.

Downtown events will begin Monday, September 23.
The Persimmon Festival will feature food vendors, carnival rides, games and free live entertainment nightly featuring festival favorites The Endless Summer Band on Friday, September 27 and the nation’s number one tribute to KISS, Mr. Speed on Thursday, September 26.
The festival’s Grand Parade will be held Saturday, September 28 at 2 p.m.

The 73rd Annual Mitchell Persimmon Festival is sponsored by the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce and is organized by General Chairman Andy Mullen along with Second Chair Suzanne Patton.
