(BLOOMINGTON) – A Bloomington family called police on Saturday afternoon after they returned home in the 2000 block of East Edwards Road from out of town and found a man in their upstairs bedroom.
Bloomington Police say the family held the man in the home until police arrived.
26-year-old Jacob Boomsma was arrested on a charge of burglary, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a glass smoking device in his pocket.
Police say they don’t believe Boomsma had been living in the home while the family was out of town and nothing was missing from the home.
