Purdue Routs Iowa 86-70

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) – Purdue capped off their four-game home stand by winning the final three games as they routed No. 25 Iowa 86-70.

Carsen Edwards led the Boilermakers with 21 points while Matt Haarms added 14 off the bench. Purdue shot over 53 percent from the field and forced the Hawkeyes into 14 turnovers.
A tribute video to late Purdue student Tyler Trent played ahead of the game. Trent died Tuesday at the age of 20 after battling a rare form of bone cancer. Players from both teams wore “#TylerStrong” shirts during warmups.
“He hadn’t just had an impact on campus,” Edwards said. “He impacted the country. It’s heavy on our hearts.”
The Boilermakers hit the road on Tuesday when they face No. 8 Michigan State.
