Thelma “Diane” Mattox Jost, 67, of Bedford, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born July 12, 1951, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of William and Mary Alice (Shaff) Mattox. She married Mark Jost on September 25, 1970 and he survives. She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School with the class of 1969. Diane worked at Convacare in Bedford and Bloomington for several years and attended Crossroads Community Church for twenty-eight years.
Survivors include her husband, Mark, of Bedford; two sons, Bryan Jost and wife, Cathlina, Brent Jost and fiancé, Eliza, of Bicknell; six grandchildren, Duncan, Yuna, Auron, and Abby Jost, all of Bedford, Arianna and Sansa Jost of Bicknell; her parents, Bill and Mary Mattox; a sister, Kathi Thomas and husband, Scott, of Bedford; three brothers-in-law, Tim Goodin, Merle Jost, and Marshal Jost; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy Goodin; her grandparents, (Granny) Elizabeth Shaff, John and Jeanette Mattox.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lyndon Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at White River Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Betty Irene (Mobley) Riggle – Bedford

Betty Irene (Mobley) Riggle, 89, of Northbrook, IL, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Monday,
December 17, 2018 in Illinois.
Born June 3, 1929, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Estes Herman and Alice Irene (Dodds) Mobley. She
married Walter Freeland Riggle on June 21, 1952 and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1995. She was an
X-ray Technician at Dunn Memorial Hospital for over thirty years. She and Walter were long-time members of the
First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Walter Stephen Riggle and wife, Sandra Belschwender, of Jeffersonville, IN and
Michael David Riggle and wife, Stephanie Kingsley, of Bloomington, IN; four grandchildren, Jonathan Stephen,
Jeremy Thomas, Maxwell Freeland, and Mason Kingsley Riggle; two sisters-in-law, Sophia Mobley of Spencer, IN
and Mona Mobley, of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Sandra Michelle Riggle; three brothers: her twin, William Herman Mobley, Robert Earl Mobley, and Buren Estes Mobley; and a sister-in-law, Martha Hill Mobley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 22 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Nathan Sundt officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday, December 22 at the church.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, friends consider memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church or the Village Presbyterian Church in Northbrook, IL.

Annabeth Kacher – Mitchell

Annabeth Kacher, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Indiana University Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born April 16, 1937, in Washington, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Lloyd Dale and Hilda Irene (McClelland) Christy. She married John Eugene “Gene” Kacher August 15, 1963, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2015.
Beth was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle of Praise. She devoted her life to family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Raymond E. (Janie) Kacher of Merrillville, Alice (Joe) McFadden of Bedford, Lloyd D. (Carla) Kacher of Bedford, Bridget (Larry) Sanders of Mitchell, son-in-law, Steve Gilbert of Mitchell; grandchildren, John Paul Flynn, Adam Flynn, Andrew Kacher, Kaiti Beitler, Chelsea Beitler, Stephanie Stinson, Joshua Gilbert, Shanna; Schweitzer, Alaina McFadden, and Jaelynn Sanders; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd David (Cathy) Christy of Valparaiso
Her parents; husband; and daughter, Roxanne Gilbert, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from10 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Harry Norman Taylor – Mitchell
September 16, 1928 – November 24, 2018
Harry Norman Taylor, 90, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born September 16, 1928, in Mitchell, he was the son of George Milton and Eva (Chandler) Taylor. He married Ann Patricia Louise Price August 1951, and she preceded him in death October 7, 2015.
Harry retired from General Motors and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his children, Donald Taylor of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, Mark Taylor of Lake Placid, Florida, Peggy Mechling of Oolitic; sister, Ida Asher of Arizona; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren
His parents; wife; and siblings, Oscar Taylor, James Taylor, Robert Taylor, and Margueritte Knight preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at Noon, Friday, December 21, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
