Michael “Stick” Blackwell – Bedford
January 3, 1954 – July 24, 2018
Michael “Stick” Blackwell, 64, of Bedford, died at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at his residence.
Born January 3, 1954 in Bedford, he was the son of Norman Russell and Anna Mary (Anderson) Blackwell. He was a retired carpenter working out of the carpenter’s union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and loved mushroom hunting.
Survivors include a son, Barry Blackwell, of Linton; grandchildren, Tyler Cliver, and Jacob Blackwell and Cheyenne Rickelman; a brother, William R. Blackwell, of Bedford; four sisters, Carolyn Jane Presslar, of Bedford, Susan Sowders, of Heltonville, Robin Silvers, of Hardinsburg, Kim Greer, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela Blackwell.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 27th at Lowder Cemetery with Bro. Tom East officiating. Burial will follow with military rites accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, July 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Robert Terrell, 74, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his residence.

Ivy Rose Egan – Bedford

Ivy Rose Egan, 37, of Bedford, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 21, 2018.
Born February 16, 1981, in Bloomington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Shirley K. Conder and Donald R. Egan. Ivy was a loving mother to her two daughters, Ivyonna and Arrabella. She was a generous, loyal, and loving person who will be deeply missed.
Ivy is survived by her best friend and mother, Shirley Conder of Bedford, her two daughters, Ivyonna and Arrabella, two brothers, Jack Clark (Lisa), of Bedford, Jacob Clark (Tanya), of Napoleon, Ohio, two uncles, William Conder, Jr. (Brenda), and Roy A. Egan, many nieces and nephews, and her K-9 companion and friend, Karma.
She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandparents, William and Rebecca Conder, and her paternal grandparents, Virginia Egan and Roy Egan, Sr.
Ivy chose to be cremated, and no visitation service or funeral will be held. A celebration of life will be from Noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 11 th at the East Oolitic Community Church.

Beulah Estelle Wilder Eads – Bedford

Beulah Estelle Wilder Eads, 86, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018, at Paoli Health and Living Community.
Born September 1, 1931, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Grady Lawrence and Laura (Buttery) Ramsey. She married Donald W. Eads April 1992.
Beulah had been employed at Lonnie’s Grill, K-Mart, and Three Pigs. She was of the Baptist faith, and loved cooking and caring for her flowers. Beulah enjoyed dancing and country music.
Survivors include her husband, Donald W. Eads of Bedford; son, David E. (Donna) Wilder of Paoli; stepchildren, Mike (Marsha) Eads of Springville, Tina Caswell of Mitchell, Greg (Vickie) Eads of Bedford, Twila (Danny) Conley of Bedford; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Jewell Taylor of Mitchell; Betty Rainey of Mitchell
Her parents and brother, Avil “Shorty” Ramsey, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at a later date at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Mike Eads officiating. Friends may call from 5: p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
