Sondra Moody, 75, of Bedford, died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her residence.
Born March 26, 1943 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Ervin and Waneeta (Hillenburg) Kinser. She had been employed at the Greystone Hotel and had been a child care provider before becoming disabled. She was a member of the Heltonville Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and collecting angel figurines.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Moody and wife, Tiffany of Orleans; a daughter, Tracy Tuell and husband, Kenny of Heltonville; two sisters, Patricia Adcock and husband, Curtis, and Judy Ikerd, all of Heltonville; grandchildren, Tory (Sarah) Moody, Mitchell Moody, and Trinity Moody; a great granddaughter, Victorya Moody; a great-grandson, T.J. Moody; seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 2nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Gilgal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

James Lewis Ratliff, 80, of Mitchell, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born February 22, 1938, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Earl and Mildred Marie (Bell) Ratliff. He married Phyllis Anne Walls April 16, 1960. Jim had been employed at RCA, and was a member of Carpenter Millwright Local No.
1076. He was a member of the Pleasant View Church of Christ and a 1956 graduate of Mitchell High School. Jim was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Warren Brock Post No. 69.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Anne Ratliff of Mitchell; children, Anita (Darren) Harrell of Bedford, Anthony “Tony” Ratliff of Bloomington, Anne (Chris) Mullins of Orleans; grandchildren, Nathan Harrell, Ethan Harrell, Brandon Harrell, Kayla Ratliff,, Emily Evans, Audrey Wilson, and Amelia Mullins; great grandchildren, Tucker and Abby Evans; siblings, Lois Marie Terrell of Mitchell, Ronald Earl Ratliff of Florida, Patricia Ann Arnold of Mitchell, Richard Joseph Ratliff of Florida, Kenneth Eugene Ratliff of Bedford, Linda Kay Ratliff of Mitchell, Margaret Ellen Pluris of Florida
Charles Edward Ratliff of Florida.
His parents preceded him in death.
Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Don White and Brother Walter Hunter officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9107. Burial will be at a later date in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
