Marian Ann Mitchell – Bedford
March 25, 1932 – May 25, 2018
Marian Ann Mitchell, 86, of Bedford, passed away at 7:55 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at her residence.
Born March 25, 1932 in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Forrest E. and Oma May (Sipes) Plake.
She first married Jackie Dean George and he passed away in 1962, she later married Fred E. Mitchell and he passed in 2012. Marian worked in the kitchen of the North Lawrence Community Schools and was a missionary for Looney Missions in Mexico. She was a charter member of The Hillcrest Christian Church and was a member of New Union Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie (Michael) Kuster, one son, Dale E. George; two step children, Pam (Dan) Deckard and Rick (Judy) Mitchell; two grandchildren, Jason Kuster and Brian Kuster; three step grandchildren, Melanie Johnson, Matthew Deckard and Derrick Mitchell; three great grandchildren, Peyton Kuster, Abigail Kuster and Nathan Kuster; three step great grandchildren, Amber (Kyle) Hatfield, Kyla Deckard, Harlee Mitchell and Ava Mitchell; and one great great granddaughter, Olivia Kuster. She is also survived by one sister, Cindy Bodenhamer; and several nieces and nephews.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30th at 11 a.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Kevin Carty officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 29th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Melvin L. Jack Rowe – Mitchell
July 7, 1930 – May 22, 2018
Melvin L. Jack Rowe, 87, of Mitchell, went to be with his savior Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at his residence.
Born July 7, 1930, in Carthage, Missouri, he was the son of Bill and Opal (McGuire) Rowe. He married Virginia Rose Alexander September 2, 1958, and she preceded him in death July 9, 2012. Jack was an evangelist throughout the world for 44 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his: daughter, Shirley Mitchell of Augusta, Georgia; son, Darryl Rowe of Campbellsburg; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren
Her parents; wife; and siblings, Charles Rowe, Jean McLaughlin, and William Rowe, Jr., and Patricia Howard, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Ronnie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
