John Matthew Boling, 83, of Ohio, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Delaware Court Health Care, Delaware, Ohio.
Born August 16, 1934, in Bedford, he was the son of Aubury and Hattie (Baker) Boling. He married Mary E. Neely, on February 28, 1953; and she survives. John was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Marine Corps, and coached City Drugs Women Softball League. He owned Spincraft Metal Spinning, in Bedford, and Mitchell Machine, in Mitchell.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Boling, of OH; three daughters, Susan Olson, of Mitchell, Linda Clemons, of Jeffersonville, and Sandy (Bill) Hammond, of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Connie Kelly; grandson, Dustin Wayne Hammond; and five sisters.
Graveside services were held at Springville West Cemetery on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Services were conducted by the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes.
