Colonel Robinson, 78, of Campbellsburg, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born March 28, 1939, in Jackson County, Kentucky, he was the son of William and Fanny (Marcum) Robinson. He married Janet Arlene Tuddy in 1964. Mr. Robinson was a roofer. He loved to fish, got to casinos, and make people laugh. He was always smiling.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Robinson of Campbellsburg; children, Tammy Lynn Summers of Mooresville, Wade Allen Robinson of Salem, Melissa Dawn Knoy of Campbellsburg; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Dennis Robinson of New Palestine, Ned Robinson of Berea, Kentucky, Charlie Robinson of Berea, Kentucky, Roy Robinson of Indianapolis, Carol Harris of Berea, Kentucky
His parents; son, Darrell Gene “Bub” Robinson; and siblings, Mark Robinson, Bob
Robinson, and Sarah Mullis, preceded him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 29, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Kevin Carty officiating. Friends may call from 1 pm until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Joe L. Koenig – Bedford
April 11, 1930 – July 23, 2017
Joe L. Koenig, 87, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born April 11, 1930, in Bicknell, he was the son of Jacob F. and Helen (Steffy) Koenig. He married Nancy Lela Wittenmyer June 15, 1963. Joe retired from Mullis Petroleum and attended the Bride of Christ Fellowship. He enjoyed working on tractors, especially John Deere. Joe was a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Koenig of Bedford; son, Michael J. Koenig of Bicknell, daughter, Mendy (Steve) Lee of Mitchell; son, Marty (Connie) Freeman of Mitchell; 13 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; siblings, Ann Shouse of Oakland City, Danny Koenig of Princeton, Donna Hinkle of Vincennes
His parents; daughter, Marsha K. Gardner; and siblings, Lucille Howe, Helen Martha Hayes, Betty Neal, Gayle Nolting, Lois Scott, and Jimmy Koenig, preceded him in death.
Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at the Bride of Christ Fellowship with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

James Wesley Grace Sr. – Mitchell
February 14, 1936 – July 23, 2017
James Wesley Grace Sr., 81, of Mitchell, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born February 14, 1936, in Lee County, Virginia, he was the son of Roy and Lola (Babb) Grace. His first marriage was to Effie Cheek on February 19, 1962, and she preceded him in death in April of 2000. He married Margaret Taylor March 30, 2001. He was a hod carrier for Hatfield and Kellams. James attended the Living Water Church of God. He loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and was an avid motorcycle rider.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Grace of Mitchell; son, James Wesley (Kelly) Grace, Jr. of Bedford; stepdaughter, Martha A. (DeWayne) Allen of Bedford; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Marshall Grace of Woodway, Virginia
His parents, four brothers, and one sister preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at Dive Cemetery with Reverend Paul Hare officiating.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Casketbearers: Stevie Grace, Jeffrey Salyer, Leyton Craig, Bayley Craig, Cory Grace and Tyler Grace.

Ruby Watterson – Bedford

Ruby Watterson, 89, of Bedford, died at 10:14 a.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford.
Born October 12, 1927 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Charles and Martha Ellen (Childers) Stevens. She married Cecil Watterson on December 8, 1944 and he died on July 20, 1995. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, James Edward Watterson, of Mitchell; a daughter, Connie Christenson, of Bedford; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Geneva Lemmons, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Billy Joe Watterson and Cecil Watterson, Jr.; two daughters, Betty Lou McCloskey and Linda Kay Garland. eight brothers, Franklin, Leroy, Pete, Lonnie, Albert, Bill, Tedrowe, and Charles Stevens; three sisters, Louise Stevens Jones, Wilma Violet and Mary Winters.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26th at Beech Grove Cemetery with John Lee officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Susan G. Terry – Springville

Susan G. Terry, 60, of Springville, died at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at her residence.
Born May 8, 1957 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Gerald and Anna Marie (Holmes) Shelton. She married Michael Terry on July 6, 1974 and he survives. She was a homemaker and attended the Little Cincinnati Pentecostal Church. She was a very special wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life revolved around her family. She loved spending time at home with her grandchildren. She always put others before herself. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Michael, of Springville; two daughters. Jeanna West and husband, Brad, and Jennifer Pridemore all of Springville; her mother, Anna Marie Shelton; three grandchildren, Levi West, Bailey West and Payton Pridemore all of Springville; a brother, Max Shelton and wife, Sherry, of Springville; a sister, Leann Tolliver and husband, Steve, of Solsberry; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26th at the Little Cincinnati Pentecostal Church with Bro. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Lowder Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the church.
