Michael R. Smith, 63, of Springville, died at 2:52 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his residence.
Born March 9, 1954 in Malvern, AR, he was the son of Robert John and Rosemarie (Medina) Smith. He married Tracey Cobb and she survives. He retired in 2008 after thirty-three years as a truck driver for General Motors. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #440.
Survivors include his wife, Tracey, of Springville; five children, Maria Chance of Pensacola, FL, Amanda Smith of Indianapolis, Ashley Lett, of Jacksonville, FL, James Smith of Ft. Walton, FL, and Amber Smith of TN; three grandchildren, Taylor, Cheyenne and Jadyn; two sisters, Patty Smith of Helena, AR and Susie Pultz (Tony) of Fayetteville, AR; Step-children, Darcey Bailey, Westyn Blake, Branson Goodman, Brayden Keynon; two sisters-in-law, Tammy Cobb and Tonya Bridwell (Van); a brother-in- law, Richard Cobb; a niece, Anastacia Hulsing and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Byron Buker officiating. Burial will follow in Bryantsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
