Michael Dee McHargue – Mitchell
Michael Dee McHargue, 75, of Mitchell, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his residence, with his family by his side, after five months of battling cancer.
Born July 11, 1941, in Muncie, he was the son of Jesse and Marie (Colglazier) McHargue. He married Sharon Kay Sheeks September 4, 1964.
Mike retired from General Motors with 40 years of service and was a 1959 graduate of Mitchell High School. He loved all sports and was an avid bowler with seven 300 games.
Mike was a radio operator in the U. S. Marine Corps and recipient of the Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon McHargue of Mitchell; daughters, Kathy (Tom) Scarlett of Bedford, Amy McHargue of Columbus; grandchildren, Kaylin Norris, Nic McHargue, Tyler Scarlett, Kyla Scarlett; brother, William (Mary) McHargue of San Jose, California; sister, Susan (Ron) Wolter of Charlotte, North Carolina
His parents and brother, Larry McHargue, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Mitchell with William Mathews officiating. Burial will be in Sheeks Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Friends may call from noon until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Casketbearers: Tom Scarlett, Nic McHargue, Tyler Scarlett, Dennis Gratzer, Ron Wolter, and William McHargue.

Kirby Lee Dean – Bedford
Kirby Lee Dean, 63, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his residence.
Born May 11, 1953, in Seymour, he was the son of Paul Everett and Helen Louise (Whitehead) Dean.
He retired from Cummins Engine in Columbus. Kirby was a 1970 graduate of Jennings County High School, loved all sports, and was a member of the Work of God Church.
Survivors include his stepson, Benjamin Collins of California; sister-in- law, Susan (Allen) Barlow of Mitchell; nieces, LouAnn (Mike) Kristan of Bedford, Maren (Jarrod) Terrell of Ellettsville, Magen Barlow of Mitchell;nephew, Justin (Sarah) Barlow of Corpus Christi, Texas
His parents and sister, Elena Hardwick, preceded him in death.
Celebration of Life will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, September 25, at the Work of God Church with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating.Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 26, at the Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery in Westport under direction of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

William Lane – Mitchell
A graveside service for William Lane, who passed away October 4, 2015, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 23, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107 under direction of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
