Marjorie Jeanette Tyree – Bedford

Bedford – Marjorie Jeanette (Hawkins) Tyree, 92, of Bedford, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 08, 2016 at her residence.
Born July 15, 1924, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Eathel and Sylvia (Phillips) Hawkins. She was a graduate of Bedford High School with the class of 1942. She married Charles Horace Tyree on June 2, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 2005. She had worked in the business offices of RCA and Reliance Corporation and was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and her church family.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Kay Menaugh and husband, Brad, of Bedford; grandchildren, Brice Alan Menaugh and Brooke Menaugh Adams and husband, Josh; great grandchildren, Anna, Carson and Myla Adams; several nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family, and good neighbors, Jerry and Twanette Seidle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Sammy Alan Tyree in 1969.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 17th at the Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
