Jasper David “JD” Cain – Leesville
October 7, 1941 – May 3, 2016
Jasper David “JD” Cain, 74, of Leesville, died at 11:21 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at his residence.
Born October 7, 1941 in Lawrence County, he was the son of George Edward and Edith (Stephenson) Cain. He married Donna Jean on February 23, 1963 and she survives. JD was a retired stonecutter, having operated stone mills in Dallas, TX and Rogers, AR. He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was an avid reader and received great comfort from reading his Bible. He was a member of the Leesville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include, his wife Donna, two daughters, Tammy (Doug) Jefferson of Coppell, TX, Deedra (Ty) Mathews of Bedford and one son, Jason (Michelle) Cain, of Bedford, grandchildren, Colin (Maggie) Jefferson of Lantana, TX, Jarrid (Elizabeth) Mathews, Justin Mathews, Corbin Cain and Victoria Cain all of Bedford, twin great grandchildren, Ellison and Ian Jefferson (due later this summer), one sister, Sandra Young and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Courtney Jefferson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Leesville United Methodist Church with Pastor George Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Leesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. till 8 p.m. pm on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be, Colin Jefferson, Jarrid Mathews, Justin Mathews, Corbin Cain, Ty Mathews and Doug Jefferson and Honorary Pallbearer, Victoria Cain.

Rose E. Kimmel – Springville
January 2, 1950 – May 2, 2016
Rose E. Kimmel, 66, of Springville, died at 7:56 pm on Monday, May 2, 2016 at her residence.
Born January 2, 1950 in Pulaski County, KY, she was the daughter of Orville Frank and Eva Katherine (Bell) Silvers. She retired from RCA.
Survivors include, one son, Scott Kimmel and wife Tammy of Bedford, one daughter, Melinda Williamson and husband Randy of Springville, eight grandchildren, Kelli Hoff and husband Mathew, Leslie Batcho and husband Jim, Linsey Taylor and husband Chris, Andy Kimmel and wife Dena, Cassie Payton and husband Calin, Sarah Morgan, Connor Morgan and Justin Williamson, seven great grandchildren, Kylie Batcho, Camden Taylor, Elijah Hoff, Evan Batcho, Kyler Taylor, Emma Hoff and Carson Powell, three sisters, Elizabeth Stigall, Linda Burrows and her husband Steve and Edna Padgett, two brothers, Bill Silvers and wife Jeanette and Jack Silvers and wife Marsha, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold Silvers.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Springville West Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
