Shay Sherrill – Bloomington

Bloomington – Shay Sherrill, 43, of Bloomington, went to his final home Monday, March 7, 2016.
Born December 19, 1973, in Bedford, he was the son of John (Rick) Sherrill and and step-son of Jim Ratkovich and his mother, Renae Ratkovich. He was a die cast technician for General Motors and a member of U.A.W. Local #440. He loved playing golf and boating.
Survivors include two sons, Dylan Sherrill of Plano, TX and Brooks Sherrill of Bedford; his fiancé, Angie Jones of Bloomington; his mother, Renae Ratkovich and husband, Jim, of Bedford; two brothers, Tristan Sherrill and wife, Michelle, of Plano, TX and Shannon Sherrill and wife, Laura, of Staunton, VA; a sister, Lisa Sherrill-Goza of Plano,
TX; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, John (Rick) Sherrill; grandparents, Charles and Dorsie Spaulding and Jiggs and Margie Sherrill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12th at the Stonegate Faith Center with Pastor Jan Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till 8 p.m. on
Friday, March 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from Noon until the hour of service on Saturday, March
12th at the Stonegate Faith Center.

Phillipp Scott Byers – Springville
January 25, 1941 – March 8, 2016
Phillipp Scott Byers, 75, of Springville, passed away March 8, 2016 at his daughters home where he had recently moved.
Phillipp was born in Lawrence County January 25, 1941 to Bennie Byers and Cleo McKee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Charles Byers.
Phillipp graduated from Bedford High School class of 1959, had attended several years of college. He retired from Lily Corp. Phillipp loved being outside with his favorite hobby being fishing.
Phillipp is survived by his son, Kevin Byers of Logansport; daughter, Cindy (Eric) Gambill of Bainbridge, IN; son, Keith Byers of TX, seven grandchildren and one great grandson, Barrett.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12th at Springville Christian Cemetery.

Charles Ray “Red” Brim – Mitchell
May 17, 1941 – March 7, 2016
Charles Ray “Red” Brim, 74, of Mitchell, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at his residence.
Born May 17, 1941, in Mitchell, he was the son of Orval “Buck” and Mary Ellen (Phillips) Brim. Charles was a self-employed truck driver.
Survivors include his children, Chuck (Ashley) Brim of Rushsylvania, Ohio, Tracey (Rick) Muncy of Columbus, Ohio, Melanie McConehea of Eaton, Bill (Natalie) Brim of Mitchell; sisters, Louise Allen of Mitchell, Helen Adams of Terre Haute, Pauline (Ovie) Graham of Salem; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren
His parents; daughter, Kelly Brim; and brother, Jim Brim, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. till 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
