Helena Frances “Jackie” Nolan – Mitchell

Helena Frances “Jackie” Nolan, 87, of Mitchell, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 3, 2015, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born August 18, 1928, in Connersville, she was the daughter of William Irwin and Elma Frances (O’Donnell) Ross. She married Kenneth E. Nolan October 22, 1948, and he preceded her in death September 22, 1989. Jackie was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. She was a member of Dixie Club, and a 41-year member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
Survivors include son, Steven R. (Sharon) Nolan, Heltonville; grandchildren, Shane (Courtney) Nolan, Shannon (Eric) Duckworth, Susan (Charles) Day; great grandchildren, Cade Nolan, Erin Day, Natalie Day, Alexandria Day, Asa Duckworth, Matthew Day; great great grandson, Lyrick Day; siblings, JoAnn Lange, Seymour, Jeanie Goebel, Madison, John Ross, Madison
Her parents; husband; and siblings, Laura Mae Phillips, Virginia Shelley, and William Ross, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 8, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Mike Collins officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
