Wilma M. Russell – Bedford
July 21, 1912 – August 21, 2015
Wilma M. Russell, 103, of Bedford, died Friday, August 21, 2015 at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born July 21, 1912, in Princeton, IN, she was the daughter of William H. and Emma Catherine (Berger) Block. She married Walter E. “Russ” Russell on June 2, 1935 and after seventy-two years of marriage he preceded her in death on August 26, 2007. She was a mother and homemaker. She had been active in the First Christian Church and the Bedford Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Bob) Russell and wife, Leona, of Mitchell; a daughter, Joann Teresi and husband, Jim, of Deerfield Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Terri
Stump and husband, John, of Warsaw, IN, Kevin Phipps and wife, Penny, of Wooster, OH and Jeff Phipps of Columbus, OH; five great grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Rosalyn Hurst of Evansville, IN; one brother, William A. Block of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Theodora and Ruth.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Alan Cloar officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 24th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family would like to thank the staff of White River Lodge for the loving care Wilma received for the last eight years.

Ivil Gusty Woodruff – Cale
September 19, 1931 – August 19, 2015
Ivil Gusty Woodruff, 83, of Cale, formerly of Indianapolis passed away on August 19, 2015 at 4:33 p.m. at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on September 19, 1931 in Grundy, Virginia she was the daughter of Floyd and Creddie )Ratliff) Looney.
On February 8, 1964 she married Silas Woodruff and they were married 51 years at the time of his passing on January 2, 2013.
Ivil was self-employed, owning and operating rental properties and was a homemaker. She was of the protestant faith.
Survivors include her son Doug and his wife Ellen Woodruff, of Cale; daughter Joan and her husband David Keith, of Camby; two brothers Lonnie and Stuart Looney, of Grundy, VA., two sisters Grethel Ryan, of Tazwell, VA. and Edna Stiltner, of Grundy VA.; two grandchildren Steven Woodruff and Carrie Keith, both of Indianapolis; one great grandchild Ivarie Keith, of Indianapolis
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Silas Woodruff, brothers William, Melvin and Lee Looney and sisters Ida Burks, Pearl Bowman and Ossie Looney and a sister in infancy.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 22 2015 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Visitation will also be held at New Crown Cemetery Chapel on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will follow.
