Carl H. Bradway – Bedford
Carl H. Bradway, 95, of Bedford, formerly of Wichita, KS, died at 7:20 pm Tuesday, July 28th at Westview Nursing and Rehab.
Arrangements are pending at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Mark W. Chase – Bedford
Mark W. Chase, 67, of Bedford, died at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born May 9, 1948, in Massena, NY, the son of Donald B. and Mary H. (Goodspeed) Chase. He married Janet R. Hutchins on November 17, 1969 and she survives. He was a millwright welder for General Motors and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the AmVets in New York.
Survivors include his wife, Janet, of Bedford; two sons, Kevin Chase and wife, Rebecca, of Bedford and Jeff Chase and wife, Christy, of Oolitic; four grandchildren, Alyssa Kelly, Hannah Chase, Maddie Chase and Karsyn Chase; one great grandson, Dayson; a sister, Connie Beaupre of Florida; two brothers, Joe Chase and wife, Helen, of Florida and Brian Chase and wife, Gina, of New York; several nieces and nephews and his fur baby, Coco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Vincent Chase; a daughter, Diana Lee Chase; four brothers and a nephew.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery with military rites accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 31st and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, August 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.

Imogene Roach, of Orleans, died Tuesday, July 28th at her residence.

M. Jeanette Kern – Bedford
November 22, 1932 – July 28, 2015
M. Jeanette Kern, 82, of Bedford, died at 8:01 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bedford.
Born on November 22, 1932 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Harley and Alice (Barnett) Brown.
She married Bill R. Kern on August 22, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2012.
She was a graduate of St. Anne High School, St. Anne, IL with the Class of 1950; She had owned H&R Block Offices in southern Indiana and was a member of Englewood Baptist Church where she had been pianist for many years. She was also a member of the Glory Road Quartet, which traveled the country singing and spreading God’s Glory.
Surviving are one son, Mike (Michelle) Kern, Bedford; one daughter, Kathy (Mike) Carlson, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Johnson, Daniel (Laci) Johnson, Justin Kern and Shelby Kern; three sisters, Gayle (Ed) Gilstrap, Faye (Raymond) Pate and Carol Moore; one brother, Harley (Linda) Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and one sister, Kaye Brown.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Ferry officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.
