Bedford – Curtis Daniel “Curt” Lee, 62, of Bedford, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his residence.
Born December 17, 1952 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Charles Daniel and Mary Edith (Bennett) Lee. He married Linda Jill Shook on December 16, 1973 and she preceded him in death on December 23, 2013. He was a retired engineer from NWSC Crane and was employed at Tri-Star Engineering. He was a member of the First Christian Church where he served as an elder, a member of Indiana Ducks Unlimited serving as state chairman and state treasurer. He served as chairman of Hoosier Hills Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and on the State National Resource policy team. He was a graduate of Tunnelton High School with the class of 1970 and University of Evansville with the class of 1975.
Survivors include four daughters, Danie Norris and husband, Mark, of Bloomington, Tiffany Moody and husband, Matt, of Carmel, Kasey Franklin and husband, Doug, of Indianapolis, Chelsea Lee and fiancé, Steve Cassidy, of Bedford; eight grandchildren, Caleb, Haley, Jetta, Maya, Pacer, Bennett, Maddox and Harper; his mother, Mary Edith Lee, of Bedford; his fiancé, Jonna Deckard, of Bedford; a brother, David Lee and wife, Paula, of Bedford; a sister, Martha Hill and husband, Mark, of Medora; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his wife, Jill; a brother, Ralph Lee; and a granddaughter, Nora.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 30th at First Christian Church with Pastor Alan Cloar officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 29th at Day & Carter Mortuary and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, June 30th at the church. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Ducks Unlimited, American Heart Association or March of Dimes.
